Two-day folk fest begins

JAMMU: A two-day folk dance and music festival ‘Dharein Dhurhan Payeeya’ organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in collaboration with Government College for Women, Parade, was inaugurated on Monday.

A two-day folk dance and music festival ‘Dharein Dhurhan Payeeya’ organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in collaboration with Government College for Women, Parade, was inaugurated on Monday.

Prof Anju Bhasin, Chancellor, Cluster University, Jammu, the chief guest, complimented all participating folk groups for their memorable performances. She appreciated the academy for the initiative to preserve the dying folk forms of the Dogra region.
