Srinagar, January 19

The ‘Yuva Kranti Yatra’, launched by the All India Youth Congress on November 16 to press for a farm loan waiver and providing jobs to unemployed youth, reached here on Saturday.

The yatra is scheduled to conclude in New Delhi on January 30.

Youth Congress leader Keshav Yadav said the party would continue its campaign against the “failures” of the Centre on various fronts like employment, prices of fuel and farmers’ issues. Addressing a press conference, he alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had failed to fulfil his promise on providing jobs to youth.

Yadav said the Congress’ stand on the Kashmir issue was clear and it had been working towards a peaceful atmosphere in the state. He said the situation in BJP-ruled states was not satisfactory and the Congress had taken various people-friendly steps in the states ruled by it.
