Jalandhar, September 13

The 67th All India Police Hockey Championship will be held from September 14 to September 21 at PAP headquarters.

As many as 27 teams will participate in the event. The opening ceremony will be presided over by Sports Minister Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi.

Star hockey players Gurbaj Singh, Manpreet Singh, Sardara Singh and Sandeep Singh will be present on the occasion.

Jaskaran Singh, IGP/ PAP-cum-organising secretary said Punjab police hockey team had dominated in the past championships and won the trophy of All India Police Hockey Championship more than 25 times.

First All India Police Games were held in 1951 in Cuttack (Orissa).
