Phagwara: A Maruti Car no PB-07E-6396, was reportedly damaged while another car no PB-10AA-1666, was set on fire by some unidentified miscreants in the Nangal Colony here in the wee hours on Sunday. On a complaint lodged by car owner Baba Balle Shah, the police have registered a case in this regard. OC
Five injured in mishap
Phagwara: Five persons, including three women, sustained injuries after a car and two motorcycles collided near Khatti village on the Phagwara—Hoshiarpur road on Sunday. The injured persons Sanjeev Kumar, his wife Rajni (both residents of Ludhiana), Mohan Lal, his wife Bimla and their daughter Pooja were admitted to the local Civil Hospital here. OC
Ayurvedic check-up camp held
Jalandhar: As part of its efforts to make health services accessible to all residents of the district under Mission ‘Tandarust Punjab’, the brainchild of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, the Health Department organised an Ayurvedic check-up camp at Chitti primary health centre of the district. A spokesperson said the Ayurvedic medical officers along with nursing staff examined 154 patients in the camp. The hemoglobin and blood sugar tests were also carried out in the camp and medicines were given to the patients. The spokespersons further revealed that the patients were made aware of the importance of nutritious diet. TNS
