Former Director General gets national award

Jalandhar: Dr Raghbir Singh Khandpur, former Director General Pushpa Gujral Science City Kapurthala was awarded the National Award for outstanding contribution in science popularisation and communication on February 28 on the function organised at Technology Bhawan on the occasion of National Science Day in New Delhi.



Jalandhar: Dr Raghbir Singh Khandpur, former Director General Pushpa Gujral Science City Kapurthala was awarded the National Award for outstanding contribution in science popularisation and communication on February 28 on the function organised at Technology Bhawan on the occasion of National Science Day in New Delhi.

The award carries a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh, a memento and a citation. The award was given to him by Dr Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Dr Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of Science, Technology and Environment was the chief guest of the function.
