PHAGWARA: School of Hotel Management and Tourism and the Division of Career Services of Lovely Professional University (LPU) organised a global hotel industry ‘HR Summit’ on the campus of LPU.

School of Hotel Management and Tourism and the Division of Career Services of Lovely Professional University (LPU) organised a global hotel industry ‘HR Summit’ on the campus of LPU. The summit held at Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium. LPU Director General Er HR Singla inaugurated the summit.

A total of 18 HR stalwarts from national and international hotel industry addressed management students. His Excellency High Commissioner of Namibia to India, Gabriel P Sinimbo graced the occasion. He Sinimbo referred India as an incredible country with great human resource.

Directors, GMs, Heads, and consultants from 16 top national and international hotel chains were present. They pondered on ‘Future Trends in Hospitality’.

This was the biggest ever Hotel Management summit organised by any university or college in North India to understand the close working of educational institutes and industry.

Director Human Resources (The Park Hotel) Deepak Behl was the keynote speaker on the occasion. He emphasized that their collective participation was out of social responsibility to awaken, inspire and guide the forthcoming human resource in this sector.

The book of Deepak Behl titled ‘Winning is Everything’, was also launched on the occasion. —OC
