HMV wins English quiz competition

DASUYA (HOSHIARPUR): Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya(HMV), Jalandhar, bagged the first position in an inter-college English grammar quiz competition and won the title of ‘Wizards-2019’ in the third session of ‘The wizards quiz’.

Dasuya (Hoshiarpur), March 19

Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya(HMV), Jalandhar, bagged the first position in an inter-college English grammar quiz competition and won the title of ‘Wizards-2019’ in the third session of ‘The wizards quiz’. The event was organised by the department of English of JCDAV College Dasuya and was sponsored by Amar Shakuntla Rana Charitable Trust (Regd) Palampur.

A total of 28 teams from different colleges of the state participated in the competition. Principal Dr Amardeep Gupta congratulated the students.

He discussed the need to be dexterous in vocabulary and communication. He applauded the endeavour of the department of English for organising the event.

Talking about the quiz, HoD of the department Dr Amandeep Rana told that screened through a written test and preliminary level, five teams qualified for the quiz, out of which, HMV Jalandhar bagged the first position and won the title ‘Wizards-2019’.

JC DAV College, Dasuya, and Doaba College, Jalandhar, bagged the second and third positions respectively. Muskaan from HMV Jalandhar was declared the best participant.
