Punjab State Suvidha Centre Employees today performed their duties while wearing black badges in protest against the lethargic approach adopted by the state government to solve their issues.

They said they have been paid meagre salaries since long and added that in this series of protests, they would work wearing black badges tomorrow too.

The Suvidha Centre Employees Union yesterday submitted a memorandum of demands to Additional Commissioner Dr Shikha Bhagat in this regard.

Union representative Anju Verma and Rajwant Kaur said If the government failed to fulfil their demands they would launch statewide rallies.

“For the convenience of the public the rallies will be held on some holiday or off days,” they added.
