A garments’ shop was burgled on Gaushala road on Saturday.



A garments’ shop was burgled on Gaushala road on Saturday. The burglars decamped with goods worth 35,000.The police have registered a case.

Cylinder theft

On a complaint lodged by Senior Medical Officer, Veterinary Hospital, Dr Pardeep Goyal, the police have registered a case under Sections 457 and 380 of the IPC against unknown persons who took away eight nitrogen cylinders.

2 booked for assault

The police have registered a case under Sections 323,324,148 and149 of the IPC against Kaka of Haripur Khalsa village (Phillaur) and Mohan Lal of Rurrka-Kalan village on the charges of attacking and beating up a woman, Veena Kumari, of Chahal Nagar. The complainant alleged that her Greece-based NRI husband was behind the attack with whom she had a dispute. —OC
