Upset over disease, youth ends his life

JALANDHAR: Unable to cope up with repeated attacks of epilepsy, a youth on Thursday allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling at his home.

Unable to cope up with repeated attacks of epilepsy, a youth on Thursday allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling at his home.

The victim has been identified as Komaljeet Singh, a resident of the Shiv Nagar area. Kuldeep Singh, father of the victim, said at the time of the incident, his son was in his room on the first floor. Despite calling him repeatedly, he did not come down following which he went upstairs and saw his son hanging from the ceiling.

The body has been sent to the local Civil Hospital for autopsy.
