16 years on, Aamir at award function

He may have wowed to never attend or accept an award, but B-town’s Mr Perfectionist had to make an exception for the one and only legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar.

Aamir Khan, who was invited by the Nightingale of India recently, attended the Master Dinanath Mangeshkar Awards, held to commemorate her father’s 75th death anniversary.

Aamir was also honoured with the Vishesh Puraskar for his outstanding work in Dangal. The PK star last attended an award show 16 years ago at the Academy Awards, when Lagaan was nominated in the Best Film category. 

On the professional front, Aamir will soon be seen in Secret Superstar and is also prepping up for Thugs of Hindostan, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan. — ANI
