Meet ACP Rane

You have completed 10 years in the industry. How is the josh?

Over the past decade, I have essayed a variety of roles and every day, I have learnt something new. I must say I have had my own ups and downs, but I have always enjoyed the rollercoaster journey. I was an engineer earlier, but I moved on to modelling later and I guess that was one of my best decisions as there was no looking back ever since.  Josh is definitely there.

How has it been working with your co-star Reem Sheikh?

Well, it was amazing. Reem is like my best friend and it feels great to be around her. She is funny, childish and caring. Being her co-star, I have enjoyed every moment on the sets. She is a bundle of energy.

Can you tell us about your character? 

My character is intense. He is dedicated to his job and fights for justice and is very much in love with his better half, Kalyani. 

How was your first audition? 

I must say that my first audition was very embarrassing and funny. My friends forcefully took me to an audition for a toothpaste brand, saying that my charm and smile will get me through. The makers wanted a handsome face and a contagious smile. For the same, I was asked to say a line and then smile. When the ad-maker said lights, camera, and action, I got conscious and could not smile. 

What are your future plans?

I plan to stick to doing only quality work on television. I have been getting a lot of offers from films and OTT platforms, but I have always loved and cherished the daily reach and connect of television as a platform and I want to explore more characters and shows right now.

What is your fitness mantra?

My fitness mantra is—eat the staple food of the region, avoid heavy meal at night and always have a balanced diet and never overeat. I generally stick to these rules.
