Punjabi music industry welcomes every talented singer with open arms and 27-year-old banker Victor Bhatti is glad he took his leap of faith. Victor has come out with his first single, Saar Lene Aan, which has received much appreciation from the audience and is now recording his second song which would be out in next three months.

The only child of his parents, who are working as government school lecturers at Kotkapura, Victor has done his Masters in Business Administration from Panjab University, Chandigarh, and is currently working for a bank in a Moga village. However, singing has always been his passion and he decided that he would not let this die down.

Singing came naturally to him and at the age of six, he gave his first stage performance. Noticing his talent, his parents motivated him to learn music and that’s how he started learning music under flutist Manjit Bukkan from Kotkapura.

While he was growing up, he was highly inspired by Pakistani legends like Ustad Nusrat Ali Khan and Ghulam Ali and started singing ghazals. He then moved to Patiala for his higher studies and that’s when his friends noticed his singing talent. Gradually, he started getting good response from his friends and extended friend circle.

However, his journey has not been easy. The biggest issue was his weight that had touched 99 kg. Therefore, he first started working on his body and brought down his weight to 69 kg in one year to ensure that his screen presence was good.

Meanwhile, he was searching for some meaningful lyrics and his search finally ended at Kushal, a Punjabi University student. His continuous efforts finally brought him to Jass Records and the rest is history. The music of his first song has been given by R Guru and his soothing voice has touched many top singers, like Amrit Mann, Rajvir Jawanda, Gurnam Bhullar and Himanshi Khurana, who even went in to share his song and promote him.

Inspired by Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Victor says that is the kind of journey he wants to have. “Though I have to juggle a lot of things, I am loving every bit of it. From gymming, to office to song hunting, learning music and meeting people, my days are very hectic but like we know, one has to toil hard to turn your dreams into reality, I am working hard and hopeful that the audience will continue to give their love,” he says.
