DEADPOOL 2

Deadpool 2 is an American superhero film, based on the Marvel Comics character Deadpool, and is distributed by 20th Century Fox. It is the eleventh instalment in the X-Men film series and a sequel to the 2016 film Deadpool. The film is directed by David Leitch from a script by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Ryan Reynolds, with Reynolds starring in the lead role alongside Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, Julian Dennison, Zazie Beetz, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, and Jack Kesy. In the film, Deadpool forms the team X-Force to protect a young mutant from Cable.

The filming of Deadpool 2 took place in British Columbia, Canada, from June to October 2017.

HARJEETA

Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, Harjeeta is a Punjabi film based on the true story of Harjeet Singh, an Indian professional hockey player, who captained the Indian squad at the 2016 Men's Hockey Junior World Cup. His family, like many families in this country, was struggling with poverty. The film traces Harjeet’s journey taking on from his humble background, and despite being dumped by his love interest (just because he didn't have a cup at home to serve her tea), to winning the world cup for India. The Indian Hockey team that year went unbeaten throughout the tournament, eventually winning the Gold medal after 15 years and giving birth to a true sports legend.

The screenplay of the film has been done by Jagdeep Sidhu, while Gurmeet Singh has given the music of the film. Harjeeta has been produced by Nick Bahl, Munish Sahni, and Bhagwant Virk.

Cult film

I love the film and how it depicts Harjeet’s struggle. This film marks the beginning of a new cult, in the shape of sports drama, in Punjabi cinema. This film is truly inspiring.
