Ludhiana, April 24

AAP candidate Dr Tejpal Singh Gill held a march in North and East constituencies of Ludhiana to highlight ‘lack’ of development and the ‘disregard’ of the people’s needs.

Dr Gill led a march today, starting from Buddha Nallah in the North constituency, passing by Shivpuri Chowk all the way to Noorwala village.

Gill interacted with local residents, who complained about the heavily polluted nullah, which had made their lives miserable.

In the Shivpuri Chowk area, residents complained about traffic congestion, non-removal of garbage and bad condition of roads in the area.

In the Noorwala Road area, residents joined the ‘padyatra’ and showed Gill the pitiable condition of sewer pipes due to which sewage gets mixed with drinking water, causing serious health issues.

Dr Gill said while people were suffering, the MLAs and state government did not care for their needs.

AAP state spokesperson Ahbaab Singh Grewal said the state government was hand in glove with the builder and the contractor lobby was busy making money at the cost of the people by providing substandard services in connivance with some corrupt government officials and politicians.
