Investiture ceremony was held at Peace Public School with great vigor. Pulak Bansal was appointed as the head boy and Vrinda as the head girl. The new council members were bestowed with badges and a solemn oath.

World Earth Day celebrated

World Earth Day was celebrated at Guru Nanak Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Gujjarkhan by Bharat Jan Gyan Vigyan Jatha. On the occasion, seven schools participated in inter-school painting and declamation contest.

Ram Lal Bhasin Public School

To make students aware of deteriorating environment on planet earth, a poster making competition was held at Ram Lal Bhasin Public School Dugri. Students from Class VI to XII painted their views of issues which ail our planet. Kids also expressed their views to take curb this menace.

Principal honoured

Principal of Bal Bharati Public School Punam Dogra has been felicitated with the AKS Education awards and listed amongst “100 Highly Effective Principals of 2017”. Dogra was honoured by Dr Dinesh Kamra, CEO, Alert Knowledge Services, at the Professional Image Building Programme cum award ceremony. She said that as an educationist, it’s her duty to see that every child develops a sense of responsibility towards the society.

National Panchayati Raj Day celebrated

Green Land Convent School, Ludhiana, marked the National Panchayati Raj Day. Class VII and Class VIII students gave a mock presentation on the Panchayati Raj System.

Pet workshop organised

Kinderpillar School organised a workshop wherein students were asked to care for animals. Students were also briefed on how to look after animals and keep them safe.

Orientation held

Blossoms Convent School organised an orientation programme for parents of Class IX and X students. Principal Dr Amarjit Kaur Naaz welcomed the guardians and urged them to spend time with their kids. She also asked parents to keep a tab on children’s spending habits.

Ryan International School

Students of Ryan International School recited short poems in Hindi recitation on preserving nature. The main objective of the event was to inspire students to protect environment.

Declamation contest held

Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, Ludhiana held and inter-house english declamation competition and inter-class bookmark making contest. Class IV and Class V students designed and decorated the bookmarks and wrote an inspiring message showcasing their love for books.

World Book Day celebrated

BCM School Basant Avenue, organised various activities to celebrate World Book Day. Class IV and Class V students took part in short speech competition on “Importance of Books”. Students of Class I –III made bookmarks. Principal Dr Vandana Shahi encouraged students to develop reading habit.

Poster making contest

An inter-school poster making competition was held at Meritorious School, Ludhiana, on road safety in association with an NGO “Safe Drive Stay Alive”. Neha Rani of International Public School, Sagar and Dhanji of Meritorious School, Ludhiana bagged first, second and third positions respectively.

Scholarships awarded

Students of BCM School, Chandigarh Road, were awarded scholarships for achieving academic excellence. As many as 22 students from Class X and XI received a scholarship cheque. 47 other students who cleared cambridge exams with distinction in session 2017-18 also received certificates of honour.

Ambedkar Jayanti celebrated

DRV DAV Centenary Senior Secondary Public School, Phillaur, marked Bhim Rao Ambedkar Jayanti at Atal Tinkering Laboratory. Schools selected by Niti Aayog, were instructed to conduct science activities. Government Senior Secondary School Phillaur (Boys), Government Senior Secondary School Phillaur (Girls) were invited to provide to give information related to the instruments.

Principal felicitated

Principal of Modern School Mandi Gobindgarh Sangeeta Sharma has been awarded with “Highly Effective Principal award 2017” for setting a new benchmark in school leadership and setting innovative trends in education. 100 principals from different states were honoured by the Alert knowledge Services, at Chattarpur, in Delhi, on Sunday.
