Man held for violating police orders

LUDHIANA: A man has been arrested for not closing his ice cream parlour at Malhar Road by 11:30 pm as per orders of the Police Commissioner.

A man has been arrested for not closing his ice cream parlour at Malhar Road by 11:30 pm as per orders of the Police Commissioner.

The police conducted a raid at Get Desserted Ice Cream parlour at 12:30 am and found the accused was serving ice cream to the customers. The arrested accused has been identified as Saurav Sharma of Himachal Pradesh.

The Police Commissioner had earlier ordered that the bars and restaurants should be closed by 11:30 pm or else action would be taken against the violators.

ASI Jasvir Singh said the accused was found violating the orders issued by the Police Commissioner. A case under Section 188 of the IPC was registered against him at the division number 5 police station.
