Special train to Vaishno Devi

LUDHIANA: For convenience of the pilgrims and other passengers, the Northern Railway have decided to run a special train (04409/10) between Delhi Junction and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine at Katra on September 20 and 21 from Delhi Junction.

For convenience of the pilgrims and other passengers, the Northern Railway have decided to run a special train (04409/10) between Delhi Junction and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine at Katra on September 20 and 21 from Delhi Junction. The train would make return trips from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi at Katra to Delhi Junction on September 22 and 23.

According to the railway officials, the 04409 Delhi Junction-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Special train would leave Delhi Junction at 9.10 pm and reach Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 11.30 am the next day. On its return journey, the 04410 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Delhi Junction Special Express train would leave at 1.30 pm and reach Delhi Junction at 3 am.

With Air-Conditioned 2-tier, Air-Conditioned 3-tier, sleeper and general accommodation, the train would have commercial halts at Panipat, Ambala Cantonment, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantonment, Pathankot Cantonment, Jammu Tawi and Udhampur.

Trains diverted, delayed

The Railways said the 14612 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Ghazipur City Weekly Express and 22430 Pathankot-Delhi Junction Superfast Express trains were diverted to alternative route between Ludhiana and Ambala Cantt due to operational reasons.

  • More than 3 hrs: 12469 Kanpur-Jammu Tawi Barfaani Express
  • 1 to 3 hrs: 13049 Howrah-Amritsar Express, 12331 Howrah-Jammu Tawi Himgiri Express, 15707 Katihar-Amritsar Amrapali Express, 12475 Hapa-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Sarvodaya Express, 11057 CST (Mumbai)-Amritsar Dadar Express, 15209 Saharsa-Amritsar Jansewa Express, 12407 New Jalpaiguri-Amritsar Karambhoomi Express, 15211 Darbhanga-Amritsar Jannayak Express.
