Tax consultants’ assn on strike till June 18

Ludhiana, June 13

The Indirect Taxes Consultants’ Association has decided not to attend any professional work in any offices of the District Excise and Taxation Office till June 18 in view of the ongoing strike against an official (AETC, GST, Ludhiana 1).

Besides, various organizations, including FOPSIA, UCPMA, Fastner Manufacturers’ Association of India and Fastner Supplier Association, have come in support of the association. The members of these associations have said the pending matters should be cleared immediately as industrialists are suffering due to non-refunds.

It may be mentioned here that the tax bar association has been on strike against alleged high-handedness of an official. They said the particular officer was not clearing the files due to which work was pending and refunds were not being given to traders/industrialists.
