GUWAHATI: The Assam police have sounded an alert fearing a jihadi plan to create trouble in western Assam’s Bodo tribe-dominated areas that has witnessed several spells of riot between Bodos and the illegal Bangladeshi migrant population  over the years.

The Assam police have sounded an alert fearing a jihadi plan to create trouble in western Assam’s Bodo tribe-dominated areas that has witnessed several spells of riot between Bodos and the illegal Bangladeshi migrant population  over the years.
The police have arrested a suspected Bangladeshi national who was running a madrasa on a ‘char’ (river isle) area in Nalbari district and claimed to have a ‘doctoral degree from Oxford University’.
