Fire at Delhi minister''s office, blaze controlled

NEW DELHI: A fire broke out today at Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain''s office in the Assembly complex. Fire department officials said the blaze originated at the rest room of Jain''s office and spread to other parts.



New Delhi, May 26

A fire broke out today at Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain's office in the Assembly complex. Fire department officials said the blaze originated at the rest room of Jain's office and spread to other parts.

An air conditioner, refrigerator and furnitures were damaged in the fire, they said.

The fire was reported at around 12:40 pm and it was brought under control within 20 minutes, the officials said.

Four fire tenders were deployed to douse the blaze. The Minister was not in the office when the incident was reported.

Today is the first day of the special two-day session of Delhi Assembly. PTI
