Coimbatore, September 22
Five people were killed and another was seriously injured when their SUV fell from a flyover after hitting a Tamil Nadu government bus at Thekkalur in nearby Tirupur district on Friday, police said.
The victims, all men, were yet to be identified.
They were coming to the city from Pallipalayam in Namakkal when the mishap occurred.
The vehicle, which was on the six-lane highway, suddenly collided with the bus and under the impact fell from the flyover.
The driver was admitted to a government hospital here in a serious condition, police said. PTI
