The lawyer was identified as Jitendra Kumar, a resident Rajiv Nagar locality. He was shot dead at Rajvanshi Nagar by some unidentified assailants while he was on his way to the Patna High Court.

The body was sent for autopsy to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH).

Lawyers protested the murder by blocking Belly Road to demand arrest of assailants and compensation to the lawyer’s family.
