5 drug peddlers held in Abohar

The police here on Tuesday claimed to have seized 1,500 sedative tablets from Balwinder Singh Pakki and Lovepreet Singh, a resident of Hindumalkot, 1,320 tablets from Sonu, a resident of Fazilka, and 250 tablets from Sarabjit Kaur of Sarabha Nagar.

Manjit Singh, a resident of Dalmirkhera village, was nabbed with 5-kg poppy husk.

Kamal Arora of Kalian village was nabbed in Sriganganagar with 250 sedative tablets and a pouch of white sedative powder.

The Abohar police also seized 12 boxes of Haryana-made liquor from Arjun of Bhagwanpura.
