Abohar, January 10

The hearing in Bhim Tank murder case was put off to January 31 today by a district court where incident victim and key witness Gurjant Singh, alias Janta Lahoria, was expected to give statement again.

Gurjant had alleged that his family was under threat as he had received a call from abroad from a person who introduced himself as Jaipal Bhullar. The police here had registered a case in which Shiv Lal Doda, his nephew Amit, business partner Rajiv Chugh, Suresh Satija and caller Jaipal Bhullar were named.

Meantime, SAD Abohar circle president Suresh Satija in a statement on Thursday said he had no role in the threat allegedly given by gangster Bhullar to Gurjant. “I am being implicated due to political vendetta and have no concern with Bhullar. Senior SAD and BJP leaders have been informed about the fresh case and I will approach the High Court,” Satija said.
