Four hurt in brawl at US gurdwara

GREENWOOD (US): Police said a brawl at a gurdwara in suburban Indianapolis left four persons with minor injuries. Greenwood Assistant Police Chief Matthew Fillenwarth said the police and medics responded to a verbal and physical fight involving about 150 people at the gurdwara in the city just south of Indianapolis.

Greenwood Assistant Police Chief Matthew Fillenwarth said the police and medics responded to a verbal and physical fight involving about 150 people at the gurdwara in the city just south of Indianapolis.

He told WISH-TV that the altercation began as there was a change of leadership within the gurdwara that he said happens every two years. Fillenwarth added that it was believed that there was a worship service going on when the fight broke out.

Four persons suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital, where they will be questioned by police. Police are reviewing surveillance video from the shrine and questioning other participants in the fight. — AP
