Jail inmates get Diwali gifts

ABOHAR: Nar Sewa Narayan Sewa, an Abohar-based NGO, has taken an initiative to make the inmates of sub jail in Fazilka feel better on Diwali.

Abohar, October 25

Nar Sewa Narayan Sewa, an Abohar-based NGO, has taken an initiative to make the inmates of sub jail in Fazilka feel better on Diwali.

In the presence of District Sessions Judge Tarsem Mangla and other judicial officers, social activists led by Raju Charaya today distributed stationery items to the inmates and motivated them to write at least one page each day. They also inspired the inmates to introspect and inculcate spiritual feelings. The NGO provided six benches to facilitate the inmates with relaxed moments.

The visiting judge and officers interacted with the inmates to know if they were facing any problem that could be resolved by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) as per the prescribed rules. —OC
