MLA gives Rs 2 lakh to boxer

Sangrur Congress MLA Vijay Inder Singla along with senior officers handed over a cheque for Rs 2 lakh to boxer Kaur Singh at his house in Khanal Khurd village on Friday.

  • Sangrur Congress MLA Vijay Inder Singla along with senior officers handed over a cheque for Rs 2 lakh to boxer Kaur Singh at his house in Khanal Khurd village on Friday. 
  • After getting information about the problems of the boxer, Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh had announced the grant on Wednesday. 
  • Singla was accompanied by Sangrur DC APS Virk, Dirba SDM Amreshwar Singh, Dirba SHO Pushpinder Singh, District Sports Officer Yograj Singh and other Congress leaders. They assured all help to Singh.
  • Kaur Singh alleged that during the past 10 years, then SAD-BJP government did not provide any help to him despite his repeated requests.
