The Gidderbaha police today arrested SAD’s constituency in-charge Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon his brother Sunny Dhillon and PA Jagtar Singh from district jail here for allegedly making a bid to capture a polling booth at Babanian village on September 19.

They were earlier arrested by the Kotbhai police for allegedly capturing a polling booth at Gilzewala village on September 19 and sent to 14-day judicial custody by a court in Gidderbaha the next day. On September 22, the court had granted them bail, but they were not released as the Gidderbaha police had submitted their production warrants in the jail.

Advocate Gurmeet Mann, also an SAD leader, said, "The court had yesterday granted the bail orders of trio, but they were not released. Thus, we had approached the court again for the compliance of orders. But the Gidderbaha police today arrested them from the jail.”

Gurtej Singh, DSP, Gidderbaha, said, “Only the investigating officer can tell from where they were arrested.” Shivraj Singh, SP, district jail, said, “We had released Dimpy and the others today, but I am not aware from where they were nabbed again. Cops may have been present near the jail.”
