Chandigarh, April 21

Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, president, SAD (Taksali), today criticised Punjabi Ekta Party leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira for adopting a “dilly-dallying approach” in withdrawing the nomination of Bibi Paramjit Kaur Khalra as a PDA candidate.

In a statement Brahampura said earlier Khaira had demanded to withdraw General JJ Singh from the Khadoor Sabhib constituency to strengthen Khalra’s position. “Now while we have withdrawn our candidate, Khaira is reluctant to field Khalra as an Independent,” he said.

He said if Khalra contested as an Independent candidate from Khadoor Sahib, even AAP state president Bhagwant Mann had assured them to support her. — TNS
