The Border Security Force (BSF) today gunned down a Pakistani man, who tried to invade into this side of border through Samjhauta Express rail track near Rorawala village near Atari here.

A senior BSF official said the troops saw a man walking towards the zero line fencing through the rail track at Attari. When they challenged him, he did not stop. In retaliation, the BSF troops opened fire at him.

The BSF officials said since the Pakistani Rangers also reached near the track on the zero line, the firing was stopped. “We had to back out to avoid any further misadventure. Immediately, a flag meeting was called to discuss the issue,” said the BSF official.
