Chandigarh, March 16
The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today asked MP Bhagwant Mann and Leader of the Opposition Sukhpal Singh Khaira to resign from AAP’s primary membership as well as from the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha, respectively, and seek a fresh mandate instead of indulging in “theatrics to befool the people”.
In a statement here, former minister and party spokesman Dr Daljit Singh Cheema said AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal had stated that he had made unfounded allegations against former minister Bikram Singh Majithia and apologised for the same.
“If Mann and Khaira are truly not with the party convener, they should resign immediately because they got votes in Kejriwal’s name,” he added. — TNS
