SAD-BJP workers protest assault on MC president

Fazilka, June 19

A number of SAD-BJP and Beopar Mandal activists lodged a protest before the office of SSP Deepak Hilori, seeking action against culprits who assaulted MC president Rakesh Dhuria on Tuesday. The activist were led by former Health Minister Surjit Kumar Jyani, Beopar Mandal president Ashok Gulbadhar and SAD halqa incharge Satinderjit Singh Manta.

They demanded stern action against the culprits. They also expressed concern over the “deteriorating” law and order situation in the town. The SSP assured them of providing justice to the victim. Congress MLA Davinder Singh Ghubaya and block Congress president Surinder Kalra also condemned the attack. — OC
