CROMWELL (US): A back-nine eagle elevated Anirban Lahiri to a 5-under 65 in the penultimate round for a share of the third spot in the Travelers Championship. Lahiri, thus, puts himself in contention for the title though England''s Paul Casey was on fire during his an 8-under 62 that gave him a four-shot lead over second-placed Russell Henley (67).

A back-nine eagle elevated Anirban Lahiri to a 5-under 65 in the penultimate round for a share of the third spot in the Travelers Championship. Lahiri, thus, puts himself in contention for the title though England's Paul Casey was on fire during his an 8-under 62 that gave him a four-shot lead over second-placed Russell Henley (67). Casey was at a 16-under 194 to Henley's 12-under at TPC River Highlands. Lahiri, JB Holmes, with whom the Indian plays his final round, and Brian Harman (69) are at 11-under in tied third position. Lahiri scored three birdies and an eagle on the back nine and a bogey and a birdie on the front nine.

Aditi slips to tied-68th at Arkansas Golf 

Aditi Ashok produced contrasting cards in the first and second rounds of the 54-hole Walmart NW Arkansas Golf Championship. Aditi, whose 7-under 64 in the first round gave her tied-second place, slipped dramatically to tied-68th and made the cut on the line as she dropped to a 5-over 76 in the second round.

Neha, Anmol, Devanshi shine in Junior World Cup

Neha, Anmol Jain and Devanshi Dhama won individual honours as India claimed two gold, one silver and two bronze medals on the opening day of the ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany. In total, India won five medals (two team gold, two individual bronze, one silver) in the two events -- 50m junior men's pistol and 50m junior women's pistol. In the men's junior individual pistol competition, Anmol finished third with a score of 549 over six series, behind Russia's gold medallist Mikhail Isakov (553) and silver winner Zhehao Wang (550) of China.

Buttler’s ton gives England 5-0 sweep against Aussies 

Jos Buttler's unbeaten century on his Lancashire home ground saw England to a thrilling one-wicket win over Australia in the fifth ODI on Sunday. Victory gave England their first ever 5-0 series over Australia. England, set a mere 206 to win, slumped to 50/5 and then 114/8. They were still 11 runs shy of victory at 195/9 when Adil Rashid (20) was out after sharing a stand of 81 with Buttler. But Buttler's 110 not out saw them win with nine balls to spare while last man Jake Ball held firm at the other end.
