Real Kashmir FC are on a roll. The club registered their second consecutive win, beating Aizawl FC 1-0 in their I-League encounter here today. With 10 points from six games, Real Kashmir have jumped to the fourth place in the points table. Like in the previous game, the TRC turf ground was packed to capacity. Midfielder Bazie Armand struck the match-winner in the 31st minute of the game, his right-footer from the centre of the box finding the top-right corner of the goal.

Despite going all out and enjoying 60 per cent ball possession, Aizawl could not score the equaliser. The spectators heaved a sigh of relief when Lalremsanga Fanai’s shot barely missed the Real Kashmir’s goal seconds before the final whistle.

Hero of the Match award was given to Armand. Kashmir FC coach David Robertson said he was pleased with the defence of the team. “We played better and defended deep in the second half. For me, the pleasing aspect was the last 20-25 minutes where we defended,” he said.

In their I-League debut season, Real Kashmir kicked off their campaign on a thunderous note, beating defending champions Minerva Punjab FC, before drawing with Churchill Brothers and losing to Neroca FC and Mohun Bagan.
