The Pakistan women beat Denmark 38-28 to secure third position in the fifth World Kabaddi Cup at Baba Kala Mehar Stadium.

Iran finished third in the men's section after trouncing England 48-31. Iran won a cash prize of Rs 51 lakh, while the Pakistan women won Rs 25 lakh.

In the women's third place play-off, Pakistan led from the start. The first half was closely contested but Pakistan remained ahead, going into the half time with a 18-14 lead. Pakistan picked up the intensity in the second half to run away with the match, winning with a ten point margin. Raiders Sehrish and Madiha Latif scored 13 and 12 points respectively while stopper Saria secured eight points for Pakistan. For Denmark, raider Mille Peterson scored 15 points, while stopper Camilla scored five points. In the men's play-off, Iran defeated England after taking a 15-point lead in the first half. Starting the second half with a 27-12 lead, Iran eased up but still managed a 17-point win. Raider Ahmad scored 11 points for Iran.
