Excitement in the Bombay Share Market.

CONSIDERABLE flutter has been cause in certain dovecots by the rapid rise in the price of the shares of the Tata Iron and Steel Company, Limited. The price of the shares of the nominal value of Rs. 30 was Rs. 210 in November last. Since then it has been steadily rising owing to the commanding position which the Tata works have secured as profitable investment. It rose so high that on the 14th April it stood at Rs. 695. The very gods then became jealous of the position and then on the 26th it dropped to 620. On this is now started an agitation against speculation. If the rise from Rs. 30 to 210 was not speculation in normal conditions, why should it be speculation when 210 becomes 695? However, the latter alone having been labeled as such, those who bought at Rs. 695 are now being mocked at by the agitators for unwise speculation. Inscrutable are the ways of Stock Jobbers!
