India’s Glorious Part

THE gracious message which His Majesty the King-Emperor has sent to the Viceroy and the princes and people of India, on the conclusion of the war, will be read with thrilling interest by all to whom it addressed. Referring to the terrible times through which the world has passed during the last few years, His Majesty says:-“The struggle now so happily ended, has demanded unprecedented sacrifices from us all, and in responding to the call upon her for men and resources, Indian has played a part worthy of her martial qualities and high traditions. She has fulfilled my faith in her single-minded devotion to my person and Empire and has vindicated my confidence in her loyalty.”
