Physiology and Hygiene.

THE increasing attention which the study of Physiology and Hygiene is receiving in our schools is a gratifying sign. The knowledge of man and of the environments in which he can best live and thrive cannot help forward the cause of public health and sanitation in a material degree. The Science Faculty has now recommended that Physiology and Hygiene, one of the subjects for the Matriculation examination in Science, should in future rank with Physics and Chemistry as one of the fixed Science subjects which a candidate can take at his option as compulsory or optional subject. The candidate will, as now, take up both subjects one as compulsory and the other as optional, but in the case of those who take it up as compulsory subjects it will receive more attention.
