The Effects of War on Photography.

OF the various professions that are suffering owing to the effects of war photography is one that is being hit hard.

OF the various professions that are suffering owing to the effects of war photography is one that is being hit hard. The dry plates, printing paper and developing chemicals were all manufactured in Belgium, Germany, and Austria. Very often all the three countries took part in manufacturing a particular kind of paper of negatives. One part of the process was done in Austria and the rest was finished in Belguim and so on. Owing to the stoppage in the importation of the photographic materials, the consequences have been serious not only in India but even in England. Some times, strange to say, the prices in England are much higher than those in India, merely because of the proportion of the existing supply and demand.
