Bathinda, April 25

Members of the Dal Khalsa and the All-India Sikh Students’ Federation have alleged that Gurbani text in the PSEB’s Class X textbook has been tampered with to cause desecration.

Baba Hardeep Singh, senior vice-president, Dal Khalsa, said, “In the PSEB’s Class X Punjabi textbook, texts of Gurbani have been tampered with and replaced with other texts, which is a result of a well-thought-out conspiracy.”

The members demanded appropriate action in the matter. Sikh leaders said the Education Department must make necessary changes on a priority basis.

They said if the state government and the Education Department did not tender an apology in the matter, they would not hesitate to take a stern action in this regard.— TNS
