Speeding claimed the life of Arvinder Singh (30), a factory worker, near Pratap Chowk, in the industrial city on Saturday morning.

On a complaint lodged by father of the deceased Teja Singh, a resident of Dashmesh Nagar, the police have registered a case against an unknown driver of the truck under sections 279/304-A of the IPC. According to Teja Singh, his son was going to an auto parts unit on Kohara Road on his motorcycle when a rashly driven truck rammed his bike. He died on the spot. The truck driver sped away after the accident.
