Mohali reports 31 new coronavirus cases, tally crosses 400

District has 152 active cases

Chandigarh, July 13

Mohali reported 31 new coronavirus cases on Monday, officials said---a development that makes it the highest single-day spike in cases and takes the district’s number to 423.

Three elderly people were among those who tested positive for COVID-19.

The district has been seeing a surge in cases this past week, reporting 83 new COVID-19 cases in the past four days alone.

All new patients are being treated at the Covid Care Centre at Gian Sagar Hospital.

Civil Surgeon Dr Manjit Singh said that health teams were now tracking and isolating their contacts for testing.

The district has 152 active COVID-19 cases and has reported seven deaths from the virus..
