Attendant roughs up woman guard at GMCH-32, Chandigarh

Chandigarh, January 28

A woman security guard at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, was allegedly thrashed by a woman attendant of a patient today.

The security guard, Radha Rani, was on duty at the entrance of a ward when a woman and an elderly person arrived there. As a doctor was on a round and there were restrictions in allowing visitors in the ward, the security guard asked them to wait. However, it is alleged that the woman caught hold of an arm of the security guard and twisted it and the duo went inside the ward.

The woman then reportedly came back later and again thrashed the security guard. The police were informed about the incident. The security guard filed a complaint. A police official said they had received a complaint and the matter was being verified. — TNS
