Chandigarh: The body of an unidentified man was found outside the PGI on Tuesday morning. The police have ruled out any foul play.



Chandigarh: The body of an unidentified man was found outside the PGI on Tuesday morning. The police have ruled out any foul play. They were informed that a person, aged around 40, was lying near the PGI gate. A PCR team rushed to the spot and took the victim to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sector 16, where doctors declared him brought dead. The police said there were no injury marks on the victim’s body. “Efforts are being made to identify the victim,” said a police official. TNS   

Rs 2.70 lakh seized from car at naka

Mohali: A sum of Rs 2.70 lakh was seized by the police at a naka near the Chawla Hospital light point here ahead of the elections in the city. According to the police, car owner Kuldeep Singh could not produce any proof or explain the source of the cash. He is a resident of Kaithal in Haryana. A DDR has been registered in this regard at the Mataur police station. TNS
