The local police have booked a Dadu Majra resident on charge of raping a 22-year-old Delhi-based girl on the pretext of marriage. The suspect has been identified as Rohan Mathwan.
The girl and the boy established contact on the social media. The boy promised to marry the girl. Last year, in October, he called the girl to a hotel room in Nayagaon where he reportedly got drunk and raped her. After this, he made physical relations with the girl several times and even thrashed her, but later refused to marry her.
The girl submitted a complaint against hem at a police station in Delhi following which a zero FIR was registered and the case was sent to the Nayagaon police station.
The Nayagaon police have registered a case against the suspect under Section 376 and 506 of the IPC. The police said he was at large and raids were being conducted to nab him.
