Mohali, April 29

The police have booked unidentified persons for stealing a .32-bore revolver from the house of a private security officer.

The complainant, Sukhdeep Singh (32), originally a resident of Tida village in Mullanpur, stated that he was sharing a flat at Cooperative Housing Society, Sector 91, and working as a private security officer (PSO) at Settling Abroad Immigration Company for the past four years.

Harvinder Singh, the investigating officer in the case, said the complainant was living with other companions and they used to keep the keys of the flat in the electricity box. The box was locked and its key was placed on it. The complainant stated that on April 22, when he was getting ready to go to duty at 10 am he found his licensed revolver missing from the almirah where he had kept it.

A case was registered under Section 380 of the IPC at the Sohana police station. — TNS
