In the first semifinal of the 8th Saupin’s Gold Cup Cricket Tournament, the YMCA Cricket Academy defeated the Chandigarh Cricket Academy by one wicket.
Batting first, the Chandigarh Cricket Academy scored 118 runs before getting all out in 29.3 overs. Shubham Verma scored 30 off 44 balls with five boundaries, while Ankan Latka and Shivaraj S Sekhon contributed 17 runs each. Dhruv Joshi and Ram Gopal claimed four wickets each for the bowling side. In reply, the YMCA academy scored 119/9 in 32 overs with the help of Shivansh Choudhary (51) and Nipun Kumar (16). Latka claimed three wickets for the bowling side. — TNS
