Vanisha clocked 37:12s to top the girls' 200m freestyle competition on the second day of the inter-school (U-14) cash prize championships here today. Sanchi (41:79s) finished second, while Simon (49:00s) bagged the third position.
In the boys' 200m freestyle contest, Dhruv Gupta (35:35s), Aeshan Jyot (37:18s) and Daksh (43:24s) claimed the top-three positions respectively.
In handball, Tribune Model School boys drubbed Ankur Public School 8-1, while Government Model High School (GMHS), Sector 20, registered a 14-6 win over Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS0, Sector 19.
In the girls' competition, GMHS, Sector 41, blanked GMSSS, Sector 56, 6-0, while GMSSS, Sector 18, humbled GMSSS, Sector 16, 11-3. — TNS
