CHANDIGARH:A 26-year-old youth was chased and attacked with sharp weapons near Pipe and Barrel, a night club in Sector 9, on the intervening night of December 1 and 2 here.

A 26-year-old youth was chased and attacked with sharp weapons near Pipe and Barrel, a night club in Sector 9, on the intervening night of December 1 and 2 here.

The police said the victim has been identified as Harinder Singh Sidhu, a resident of Bathinda.

The suspects, who attacked the victim, have been identified as Sehaj Sardana, Amarjot Singh and Devan Sharma.

The police said objection over a comment made by one of the suspects on the Snapchat story of the victim’s friend led to the incident.

Assailant Sehaj Sardana had commented an ‘objectionable’ word on the Snapchat story of Shubkaran Singh following which the victim raised an objection.

The victim was attacked after he left the club. He suffered injuries in various parts of his body. The police have initiated an investigation at the Sector 3 police station.
